Can someone familiar with this test / code advise if this is a blocking issue?

tru
tru

@tstellar I went back in all the older testing logs I had and it turns out that I must have missed this earlier since this has failed all the way back in 13.0.0-rc4 (which is the oldest log I had saved).

So I would probably not call it a blocker. But it would be interesting to see if someone can figure out why this fails.

I went back and looked and this is not a regression in the latest version. It's happening all the way back in 13.0.0-rc4 - it's the oldest version of logs I have around.

New labels for platforms

As discussed here: https://llvm.discourse.group/t/github-labels-platforms

it would be good to have platform specific labels for issues. I think we should have at least: Linux, freebsd, windows, macOS and maybe android iOS as well?

Conan doesn't work correctly with Artifactory access-tokens when created for a group instead of a user.

Steps to reproduce

  • Create a group in artifactory
  • give that group access to your conan repo
  • create a access token for that group: jfrog rt atc --groups conan-deploy --expiry 0 conan-deploy
  • add the returned token in CONAN_PASSWORD
  • try conan search -> it will fail

It works if you create a token for your artifactory user instead jfrog rt atc this can be used correctly.

Still able to migrate Bugzilla data to Github?

I wasn't able to respond to the Bugzilla migration e-mail in time. Is it possible to still have data relevant for my e-mail address in Bugzilla tickets over to Github since I see llvmbot in said places. [email protected] -> brad0.

No I am pretty sure it's unfortunately no longer possible. But @asl should know for sure.

Support for yarn

Hey there,

Just wanted to check if you guys are planning on writing a wrapper for yarn, similar to what you have currently for npm?

yarn is pretty much a standard in the node ecosystem now and that would be a great addition to the jfrog-cli.

tru
tru

According to our team v2 is not stable enough to support all npm packages yet. I am not sure since I am not a javascript developer - but this is the reason they gave me. Didn't sound like it was going to be something they would end up doing anytime soon.

Hi. Thanks for adding yarn support to jfrog-cli. Any chance we can get it working with the older v1 version of yarn? The changes in v2 makes it really hard for some of our projects to convert. Is there a specific feature set used in v2 that is required for this functionallity.

Promote aggregated builds

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. We use aggregated builds in our pipeline since we build on several different machines. This works fine and the next step in the pipe can download all artifacts etc. But promotion doesn't seem to work. Promoting a aggregated build doesn't seem to do anything to copy/move the artifacts to a new repo. We can do it by listing all the builds included in a aggregated build and then promoting each of those - but that requires manual steps to query the API and script around it. It would be nice if the cli could do this instead.

Describe the solution you'd like to see New flag to build-promote --include-aggregated or similar that could do the same operation on all sub-builds.

Describe alternatives you've considered calling jfrog rt curl to query a buildinfo JSON and then scripting a loop over the sub-builds.

New project "BOLT" joining the Monorepo

I saw on the mailing list, that a new project "BOLT" shall be added to the LLVM monorepo: https://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2021-November/153551.html

Some things to do:

  1. Update pre-merge checks https://github.com/google/llvm-premerge-checks/issues/364
  2. I would recommend adding some post-merge builds to cover the new project and the configurations you care about.
  3. It would probably make sense to add a new "Category" to Discourse. Please contact one of the admins for that.

Might want a discord channel for it as well.
